Cincinnati Stroke Scale

The patient who has abnormal findings on any one of these three exam points may be experiencing an acute stroke.

Facial Droop
  Normal: Both sides of face move equally well
  Abnormal: One side of face does not move as well as other side
 
Arm Drift
  Normal: Both arms move the same or both arms don't move at all.
  Abnormal: One arm doesn't move or one arm drifts down compared to the other.
 
Speech
  Normal: Patient says correct words without slurring
(Ask patient to say "The sky is blue in Cincinatti")
  Abnormal: Patient slurs words, says wrong words or is unable to speak.
